I've never been able to understand 3D, but I decided it was about time I tried to figure out some of the maths behind it. My first try seems to look 3D:
I am crazy confused about bits of the code, there are some static values that seem to make a difference to the 'fish eye' effect of the lens. Looks sweet though, and the weird spinning is pretty cool (this is me adding huge values to the radian angles).

I found the 3D code (written in c) in a flipcode article.
